Scientists have made the “most clear in history” photo of the sun

In the photo, magnetic stripes are visible on the surface of the sun. They have a width of only about 20 km. Using the Visible Broadband Imager and G-Band specialized camera, which emits magnetic activity on the heavenly body, the Inouye solar telescope was able to capture the smallest details of these magnetic stripes. The resolution of the photograph is so clear that now scientists can observe magnetic patterns on the surface of the sun in all details.

This unprecedented discovery excited scientists and is already proclaimed one of the most clear and detailed photographs of the sun ever made, writes Daily Galaxy.

These data are necessary for scientists to better understand how magnetism acts on a heavenly body. Dr. David Kuridze, the leading author of the study and the NSO scientist, explained that these stripes may be crucial for improving the forecasts of solar outbreaks, eruptions and space weather. These solar phenomena can have a significant impact on technology on Earth, including satellites, power networks and GPS systems.
