A resident of Kansk will go to trial for using the card of his deceased disabled brother

In Kansk, a local resident will appear in court for stealing money from the account of his deceased brother.

According to the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 66-year-old resident of Kansk used the card his disabled brother, who received a disability pension and lump sum payments from regional social fund.

After the death of a relative in April 2023ode he did not report this to the authorities and continued to withdraw money from the card for another 1.5 years.

“For selfish purposes, the man secretly, through the bank’s mobile application, transferred money to his account, paid for communications and other needs, managing the funds intended for the deceased. As a result of OSFR, damage in the amount of 250 thousand rubles was causedlei – pension and payments that were supposed to be returned after the death of the pensioner,” clarified by the prosecutor's office.

The man has now been charged with theft p. “c, d” part 3 art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The accused admitted guilt.

UThe main case will be considered by the Kansk City Court.
