“We are not children playing with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin in a park”said Zelenski, quoted by the American post. “He is a criminal who came to this park to kill the children.”

Donald Trump, who has repeatedly claimed that he could end the war only, said on June 5 that it would be better for the United States to intervene in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“Sometimes you see two young children as they fight like crazy.”said Trump, during a meeting at the White House with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. “They hate and fight in a park, and you try to separate them. But they do not want to be separated. Sometimes it is better to let them fight for a while, then separate them.”

Trump's statements came against the background of stagnating the peace negotiations, the increasing number of victims caused by Russian drone attacks and Russia's refusal to make concessions, according to Kyiv Independent.

Kiev repeatedly asked Moscow to accept a 30 -day fire cease, supported by the West, as a first step to a larger peace agreement – a proposal rejected by Russia in the latest negotiation round, held in Istanbul on June 2.

In the interview for ABC News, Zelenski also spoke about the pain “Without borders” of a Ukrainian father who lost his wife and three children in a missile attack.

Zelenski added that Trump “He cannot feel and fully understand this pain.”

“And it is not just about President Trump, but about any person who is not here, in the country, who is thousands of miles away – (they) cannot feel fully and cannot understand this pain.”said the leader from Kyiv.
