The French President Emmanuel Macron offered on Saturday, the Prince of Monaco an unusual gift on the occasion of his state visit to the Principality: the appointment of an underwater mountain Albert II, reports AFP, taken over by News.ro.

This is a “major underwater relief” located in the Indian Ocean and discovered by the hydrographic service of the French Navy, the French presidency said. The future mountain Albert II “measures 1958 meters, as the year of the birth of the 67-year-old prince,” added Élysée, specifying that the designation was validated by the International Hydrographic Organization (OHI).
