Change of Easter date. Pope Leon XIV made a definite declaration

“This year, when all Christians celebrated Easter on the same day, I would like to confirm the openness of the Catholic Church in search of an ecumenical solution conducive to the joint celebration of the Lord's resurrection,” Leon XIV emphasized in the speech.
The Pope pointed out that “unfortunately, the differences in the calendars no longer allow Christians to celebrate the most important holiday in the liturgical year, which causes pastoral problems within the communities, dividing families and weakening the credibility of the Gospel testimony.”
Will there be a change in the date of Easter? Pope Leon XIV spoke
Leon XIV also pointed out that solutions had previously appeared that would allow Christians to celebrate Easter together “while respecting the rules of Nice.” One of them was presented earlier, among others Pope Francis.
At the end of November this year, the Pope's journey to the Turkish town of Iznik is planned, which was called Nice in ancient times and the Middle Ages. It was there in 325 that the Nice Council took place, convened by Emperor Constantine with the participation of over 300 bishops. This assembly is considered the first Ecumenical Council.
Leon XIV at the beginning of Saturday's audience apologized for little lateness. “I am asking for patience for me,” he appealed and added that as chosen a month ago “he still has to learn a lot”.
