According to the authorities, the victims – among which 15 children – are members of popular countries in the county who participated in filming a video and consumed traditional foods such as Caș, smoked neck, sarmale, cheese pies, but also sendvists from home, reports Agerpres.

According to the prefect of Vaslui county, Eduard Popica, 80 people, adults and children, members of some dance ensembles from Solești, Codăești and Pribesti participated in the private event.

“From the disposition of the executive director of DSVSA Vaslui, Dr. Mihai Ponea, statements were taken from the organizers in order to identify the persons from the town of Soleşti, from which the cheese was purchased, as well as of the persons who cooked the food, in order to extend the investigation and to identify the causes that led to the outbreak,” DSVSA representatives transmitted.

“At UPU there is also a 10 -month baby, who, from the parents' statements, consumed only Caș”, said Eduard Popica.

The investigation showed that in the unit the consumption of foods brought from the outside was allowed, without documents of origin, without laboratory analysis or traceability. Moreover, the preparations were cooked in particular households of people without qualification and without medical analysis attesting that they are not carriers of pathogens.

However, in this context, DSVSA Vaslui decided to suspend the activity of the restaurant until the laboratory results from the samples taken from the consumed foods. The analyzes are about to start on Saturday, June 7th.

According to the authorities, 15 children were transported to the Emergency Receiving Unit of the Vaslui County Emergency Hospital with abdominal pain and vomiting. Three other people were treated at the Negrești Permanence Center with similar symptoms.
