Podkarpackie Division of the PZ National Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszów – as the spokesman of PK Przemysław Nowak informed PAP on Thursday – this investigation took over this investigation on June 4 from the District Prosecutor's Office in Przemyśl. The proceedings were initiated on May 27 from the ABW notification.

The proceedings – as the spokesman of the PK reminded – is conducted “in a matter of the undetermined on December 2024 in the Laszki of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship illegal possession of weapons and ammunition and its storage without the license required by law by the entity ATC Hub sp. Z oo in the Aeroclub of the Jarosław region with headquarters in Laszki”.

The PK spokesman also stated that this crime is specified in art. 263 parish 2 of the Penal Code. This provision says that who without the required permit has a firearm or ammunition is punishable by imprisonment from six months to eight years.

On Wednesday, spokesman for the minister coordinator of special services Jacek Dobrzyński and the spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense Janusz Sejmej emphasized that the weapon did not belong to the Polish army. The weapon – according to Dobrzyński – was to be taken to Ukraine.

Dobrzyński emphasized that the prosecutor's office last week issued a decision, on the basis of which CBŚP officers entered the hangar and secured weapons. Dobrzyński added that weapons and ammunition come from a private entity with a concession for weapon trade. “The company operates legally in Poland” – he noted.

When asked what kind of weapon he was protected, he replied that it was “anti -aircraft weapons, a kind of launcher.” He compared this weapon “to what the former police commander Szymczyk brought from Ukraine and fired at the Police Headquarters.” (PAP)
