The Krasnoyarka who lost a million thanked the police for the open fraud (video)

Krasnoyarka thanked the police for finding scammers who stole 1 million rubles from her. Details were told in the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In 2021, the woman became one of the 12 victims of fraudsters. Unknown people called a pensioner’s home phone and introduced themselves as old acquaintances, who in the 90s, like her, invested in dubious financial organizations and lost money. The scammers informed the woman that she could receive compensation, and she is ready to help in this.

However, everything turned out to be not so simple. To get money, the woman had to pay income tax in the amount of 13 %. She agreed and transferred the right amount to the scammers. On this false, the acquaintances did not stop and demanded that other services pay. For 4 days, the woman transferred them more than 1 million rubles.

The pensioner never received compensation. She turned to the police, where it turned out that not only her were deceived in a similar way.

The police found out that the attackers called from Sochi. Investigator of the SU MI of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Krasnoyarsk” Irina Potylitsyna went on a business trip, where she detained the suspects and petitioned for their arrest.

“It was a big trouble. A year has passed, I was no longer hoping for anything. Irina Potylitsyna called me and said that the scammers were caught. I forgot about the money, about everything, I was happy that they were caught and they could not stupefy anyone like me. I am very grateful to Irina, ”said a 73-year-old woman.

In relation to two previously non -convicted men, criminal cases for fraud were instituted. The Central Court of Sochi found them guilty. One of the defendants lost freedom for 7 years 6 months, and his accomplice was 7 years old.
