Krasnoyarsk is being treated for ticks / News from the society of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.Ru

Anti-tick treatment in public places has started in Krasnoyarsk. Over the weekend, contractors sprayed the streets of Sergei Lazo, Energetikov, the Chizhi and Preobrazhensky microdistricts, the area around the lakes on Sudostroitelnaya Street, the village of Badalyk and other areas.

The treatment is carried out in dry, warm weather – only then is it effective. Signs are posted on the premises. The chemical settles for the first hour, then it begins to act. Ticks may still be active for several days after spraying, so city residents are not advised to walk in these areas. Later, the area will be inspected again and, if necessary, re-treated.

In total, more than 606 hectares will be cultivated in Krasnoyarsk this year under two municipal contracts. The work will take place in large areas near green areas and in residential areas where ticks were previously found.

Another contractor is working at the request of citizens. If you notice ticks in a park, square, along the road or on municipal territory, call 223-85-05. A team will come to the site, conduct an inspection and, if necessary, treat the area.

Owners treat yards and private areas at their own expense. For example, Siberian Federal University, the Gremyachya Griva ecopark, the Bobrovy Log fan park and other organizations traditionally cultivate their spaces.
