A large bank revealed the amount of mortgage loans taken from the beginning of the year by residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

According to VTB, since the beginning of the year, residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory issued mortgage loans in the bank in the amount of 3.5 billion rubles. The average loan amounted to 4.4 million rubles against 4.1 million a year earlier.

According to the results of five months, Russian banks issued mortgage loans for more than 1.1 trillion rubles. This is 44 % less than 5 months of last year. In May, the total market issues amounted to about 264 billion rubles. This is 7 % less than in April, and almost two times lower than the level of May 2024.

The main reason for the reduction in sales in May is the seasonal factor: a large number of holidays reduced the business activity of Russians. A high key rate, a tough risk of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and a change in state support, continue to influence the year for the year.

The state support remains the driver of the market: in May, its share in the volume of general market issues increased from 80 to 85 %.

VTB in May increased the issuance of a mortgage by 39 % in quantitative terms, having issued 6.8 thousand transactions for 38.1 billion rubles. The average “check” amounted to 5.2 million rubles.
