US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he had conducted a telephone conversation with his Russian equivalent of Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader told him that he would “answer” on Sunday Ukrainian attack on military airports in Russia.

Trump informed that during the conversation the recent Ukrainian attack on military airports in Russia and “various other attacks that are carried out by both sides were discussed.”
“President Putin said very clearly that he would have to respond to the last attack on the airports,” added Trump. It is an operation in which – according to the Ukrainian side – 41 aircraft of Russian strategic aviation were to be damaged.
The president assessed in the entry on the Truth Social platform that Wednesday's conversation was “good”, but he would not bring peace immediately.
The leaders also talked about Iran. “I told President Putin that Iran could not have a nuclear weapon and I think we agreed in this matter,” wrote Trump. Putin proposed his participation in conversations with Iran. “In my opinion, Iran delays the decision in this extremely important matter and we will need a clear answer very quickly!” – emphasized Trump.
On Wednesday, the Iranian spiritual and political leader Ayatollah Ali Chamenei said that the US administration proposal regarding a nuclear agreement is contrary to Iran's national interests. Tehran categorically does not agree to the total ban on enriching uranium, and at the same time ensures that his nuclear policy is only peaceful. The US accuse Iran's authorities that they are working on creating nuclear weapons.
The leaders' conversation took place against the background of Ukrainian appeals to strengthen the sanction pressure on Russia and two days after the meeting of the delegation of Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul.
