The vision of further development “diverges from the leadership.” Sukharevsky about the departure of unmanned systems


The media reported that they plan to dismiss Sukharevsky from the post of commander of the SBS in early April. On June 3, Decree No. 383/2025 on the dismissal of Sukharevsky was published on the presidential website. The military confirmed this in his statement that the forces of unmanned systems published in Telegram.

He said that the team was formed as soon as possible and in circumstances demanding that quick, asymmetric decisions. According to Sukharevsky, he is proud that he headed the unit “in the first, most difficult year” of its formation. However, at this stage, his vision of the further development of forces “diverges from the leadership,” the military emphasized.

According to the resource of The Persona, Sukharevsky was born in the city of Beregovo Transcarpathian region, studied at the National Academy of the Ground Forces named after the hetman Peter Sagaidachny in Lviv, and then at the National University of the Defense of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky in Kyiv, and served in the 92nd separate airmobile regiment.

In 2004, Sukharevsky joined the peacekeeping mission in Iraq as part of forces under the auspices of the United States, was part of the 6th separate mechanized brigade.

In 2011, he headed the air-carboret company of the 80th separate airmobile regiment.

Since 2014, he participated in the war against the aggressor country of Russia. His first battle with the invaders, as the resource writes, took place on April 13 of the same year near the village of Semenovka in the Donetsk region.

In 2016, Sukharevsky headed the 1st line battalion of the 36th separate brigade of the Marine Corps, and in 2021 he became the chief of staff of the 35th separate brigade of the Rear Admiral Mikhail Ostrogradsky.

In February 2022, he was appointed commander of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Gandzyuk. He headed the offensive of the defense forces of Ukraine between Nikolaev and Kherson.

On June 10, 2024, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov appointed Sukharevsky to the post of commander of the forces of unmanned Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He received the title of Hero of Ukraine on June 18, 2022.

Context

On June 3, Zelensky announced a number of personnel changes in the Ukrainian army. In particular, instead of the Sukharev SBS, Robert Brovdi will be headed – Commander of the Air Force Air Reconciliation unit with call sign Madyar.
