The Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet, announces that he has proposed to reduce the number of directors from the National Directorate of Romsilva Forests from 99 to 17. He said that only in the last two years Romsilva spent hundreds of millions of lei for bonuses, bonuses or raw bonuses that the employees of the Regiei benefited.

“(…) I am convinced that in each ministry there is the possibility of restricting the number of subordinate or coordination institutions and I think we can have other types of measures, and I would exemplify here with the complete reduction or elimination, if possible, the waste from the National Directorate of Romsilva Forests, where hundreds of millions of lei have been paid in the last two years. (…) All those things have stopped, we will continue to reorganize the company, the National Directorate of Romsilva Forests, I have on the inter-ministerial approval circuit where I proposed, for example, to reduce the number of directors from 99 to 17. The Minister of the Environment argued that, if such measures are widely applied, the problems related to the budget deficit will be reduced.

And the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Bogdan Ivan, announced that there are projects that foresee the half reduction of subordinate agencies.

In January, the minister Mircea Fechet reported the case of an employee from Romsilva who at retirement received a bonus of 500,000 lei.

He said that “in the collective labor agreement, after long negotiations between the union and the executive management of the National Forest Registry, it was agreed that at retirement you will receive 10 salaries, and” this happens in other kings “.

The National Directorate of Forests – Romsilva works under the authority of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests.
