The Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is considering the introduction of new subsidies and payments to support employment. The issue was raised at a meeting of the committee on health protection and social policy of the regional parliament.
The head of the labor and employment agency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Viktor Novikov, said that the changes will be aimed at helping those who are experiencing difficulties finding employment. Among them are participants in a special military operation, disabled people and citizens released from correctional institutions. Now, when employing them in the direction of the employment service, employers will receive subsidies from the regional budget. The procedure for their provision will be approved by the regional government.
Another change will be an increase in financial support for minors. Teenagers aged 14-18 years working as part of work teams and at enterprises in the real sector of the economy in their free time from school will be able to count on an increased amount of payment: twice the minimum amount of unemployment benefit, increased by the regional coefficient. The measure should become an incentive for young people to be active and gain first professional experience.
“New legislative initiatives will both support residents of the region in need of employment and create favorable conditions for employers participating in social initiatives. We strive to ensure that the region’s labor market is more inclusive and sustainable,” said Ilya Zaitsev, chairman of the relevant committee.
The bill will be considered in the first reading at the next session on March 19.
