General Kellogg about Ukraine's attacks for purposes in Russia. Warns against escalation

“The level of risk is growing significantly,” Kellogg admitted in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday evening, referring to weekend attacks carried out by Ukraine for purposes in Russia. “When part of the opponent's survival system, i.e. his triad, a nuclear triad, means that the level of risk increases, because it is not known what the other side will do” – he added. On the so -called Russia's nuclear triad consists of ground launchers, submarines and long -range bombers.
As a result of a special operation, carried out on Sunday by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and consisting of simultaneously hitting four military airports in Russia, 41 aircraft of Russian strategic aviation were damaged, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160.
Kellogg estimated that it was a very bold attack and it is not known what Moscow's answer will be. He noted that in the case of this operation, the psychological effect is more important than the damage to the machines. He added that he was concerned about unconfirmed reports about the Ukrainian attack on the Navy base in Siewieromorsk in the north of Russia. There is a base of the Russian Northern Fleet.
Kellogg on Ukrainian drone attacks. “Ukraine does not fold weapons”
The drone attacks of Ukrainians on Russian airlines testify to the fact that Ukraine does not lay down their arms and can also increase the level of risk – added Kellogg, who met on Tuesday in Washington with Andrij Jermak, head of the office of the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski.
Jermak on Newsmax television appealed to exert more emphasis on Russia with sanctions. He said that Moscow must feel the costs of continuing the war through the severe sanctions of the US and European countries. “We are waiting very much for new sanctions, strong, really strong sanctions for Russia” – he emphasized.
He estimated that the sanctions proposed by the Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, which relate to Russia's energy and bank sector, are very painful and effective. Jermak also expressed the belief that sanctions should be coordinated with partners in Europe.
According to the source, which is referred to by the Politico portal, the issue of sanctions is a priority for the Ukrainian delegation on a visit to the USA. On Wednesday, a meeting of US Secretary of State Marc Rubio with Jermak and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Julia Swyrydenko, is planned.
