Premiere in the Capital: Authorities closed for 30 days a store selling cigarettes to children

A store in Sector 6 of the Capital was closed for one month and fined 20,000 lei, because it sold cigarettes.

A store in Sector 6 was drastically sanctioned on Tuesday, June 3, for violating the minor protection legislation. Following a check, the Local Police applied fines of 20,000 lei and ordered the closing of the working point for 30 days, after finding the sale of tobacco products to minors.
According to Law no. 349/2002, revised by Law no. 201/2016, such practices are forbidden, and traders are obliged to check the age of buyers.
The information was confirmed by the mayor of Sector 6, Ciprian Ciucu, who announced on his Facebook page that such checks will continue.
„Local Police Sector 6: The first sealing of the activity of a commercial agent due to the marketing of tobacco products to minors.
Suspension of the activity and applying the seal for 30 days, plus sanctions of 10,000 RON for society and the seller RON 10,000.
The controls will continue, zero tolerance ”, transmitted the mayor of Sector 6.
