Peace talks in Istanbul. Russia presented Ukraine with the memorandum

After the peace talks, which took place on Monday in Istanbul, Russia gave Ukraine a “peace memorandum”. In the document, Moscow was to repeat its standard conditions, which ultimately mean the demand for surrender – inform Axios and “Financial Times”, citing Ukrainian officials.
Moscow demands the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk, Lugansk, Kersonia and Zaporozhye, i.e. areas that Russia took over, as well as imposing restrictions on Ukrainian armed forces, including for refusal to join NATO. These conditions remain unchanged, despite the Kiev proposal regarding the complete suspension of weapons or the integrity of the country.
The pages were presented by the Memoranda
A delegation from Ukraine, which Rust Umerov led on Monday, also presented Russia with a memorandum. Kyiv demands a full and unconditional suspension of weapons, guarantees and means of trust. Russia did not publicly publish its demands before starting negotiations, and also ignores the suspension of weapons. Vladimir Medinski, chairman of the Russian delegation for conversations in Istanbul, proposed only a limited suspension of weapons for a few days that would apply in some areas – says the Ukrainian agency Unian.
Delegations during the conversations were to not give themselves their hands. They came to an agreement only regarding the next exchange of prisoners. Ukrainian officials are to appeal to convene the summit of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia and the USA, but Moscow refused to implement it at the moment.
