Yekaterinburg Metropolitan praised the animated series “Simpsons” for the propaganda of family values

Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky Eugene admired the American animated series Simpsons, which, in his opinion, promotes family values. He shared his opinion at the International Women's Forum in Yekaterinburg, writes IA Ural Meridian.
According to the priest, “Simpsons” all 790 episodes show a strong family with three children, while in Russia there is no similar image. In domestic animated series, according to the Metropolitan, the heroes live one by one or do not have a “clearly pronounced family”. As examples, he cited Smesharikov and Masha and the Bear.
Actor Viktor Loginov did not agree with the minister of the church, who for many years played the head of a typical Yekaterinburg family of the Bukins in the series “Happy Together”. He noted that their screen family was just embodied by the desired image.
