The national company “Romanian Post” has transmitted, in an official statement, that the theft of 16 bags with money from the headquarters in Timisoara does not affect the current activity.

The Romanian Post has started an internal investigation to verify if there were deviations from the employees or the company contracted for security services.

The company emphasizes that the stolen money has been fully recovered, due to the rapid police intervention.

We remind that, on May 31, two men stole 16 bags with money from the headquarters of the Romanian Post in Timisoara. The two were caught by the police during a traffic control in traffic. One of them, 36 years old, was detained for 24 hours and is to be presented to magistrates with a proposal for a preventive arrest.

The checks showed that the registration plates, issued by the French authorities, belonged to another car.
