Poles as a goal of foreign travel on vacation most often choose Croatia. Why this direction? There are probably a whole lot of reasons, but one of them may be the fact that it is a country very similar in many respects to Poland, but the weather is more predictable. Interestingly, the similarity is expressed, among others, at the price level. According to IMF data, you pay there for goods and services on average almost as much as in Poland.

And what if you choose holiday destinations so that they were the cheapest for us? We decided to check it.

Polish prices are systematically approaching global, and this is the result of, among others, growing earnings and strengthening zloty. Since salaries are growing, it translates into the prices of goods and services. While Polish prices in 2020 accounted for on average 44 percent. prices in the USA, last year it was 48 percent, in 2030 we are to reach 51 percent. – results from the calculations and forecasts of the International Monetary Fund of April this year.

In relation to Germany, we have an average of 38.5 percent Cheaper, to Sweden by 40 percent, to the Czech Republic by 14 %, to Slovakia by 16 %, to Lithuania by 12 %, but 65 percent more expensive. than in Ukraine, and 98 percent than in Belarus. This is what a comparison with our direct neighbors looks like.

Feel like a Swiss in Poland

Okay, but where will the Pole feel like the title Swiss in Poland? Specifically, it means that Prices with us should be on average by 131 percent. higher than in a given countrybecause it is medium higher in the Helvet country than with us.

Although there are as many as 112 countries cheaper than Poland on 192 monitored by the IMF, we found Only four places in the world corresponding to the assumed criterioni.e. prices with us prices are about 131 percent higher than in these four countries. In a non -accidental order from the cheapest are: Nigeria, Egypt, Mjanma and Laos.

From the four mentioned Nigeria is the cheapest. Prices with us are up to an average of 281 percent. higher than in this country of Central and West Africa, or writing differently, Prices in Nigeria are 74 percent lower from Polish. There we will feel even more wealthy than the Swiss in Poland.

In second place is Egypt, quite intensively explored by Polish tourists, because it is usually in third place in terms of popularity for Poles after Croatia and Turkey. Prices are conducive to the Egyptian direction, because according to our calculations on the IMF data, they are 64 percent lower. than in Poland (with us they are 177 percent higher than in Egypt). Finally, Mjanma is 59 percent cheaper. (Poland is more expensive by 144 percent than Mjanma), and Laos by 56 percent than Poland (Poland is 125 percent more expensive than Laos).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns about traveling to the cheapest countries

Unfortunately, for potential tourists who would like to check how the Swiss in Poland feels, we have bad news. All four of the above -mentioned countries in the world are on the list of warnings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • Most of India, apart from cashmere and a 20 km zone from Pakistan, but also a state of manipulation; Prices are 49 percent in India lower than ours;

When it comes to geographically closer countries, the cheapest are: Belarus with prices by 49.5 percent. lower than in Poland, Ukraine (-39 percent), Russia (-34 percent), Georgia (-32 percent), Armenia (-23 percent), Kosovo (-22 percent), Turkey (-20 percent), Bosnia and Herzegovina (-19 percent) and Czarnogóra (-16 percent). Only in the last three – and not necessarily in their entire territory – we can feel relatively safe. For example, in Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against visiting districts bordering Syria, and increased caution is recommended in the following districts: Diyarbakır, Batman, Hakkâri, Van and Ağrı.

The most expensive countries in the world

Interestingly, the data shows that although slightly more expensive than Poland is China by about 3 percent.
