The army responds to criticism of air shows

“Our thoughts and hearts today are directed towards the family and close to the pilot who died in an accident. This is a huge loss for them, for the entire aviation environment, as well as for our soldier's community,” emphasizes the Polish Army on its website.
“We want to emphasize that only pilots with the highest qualifications take part in the air shows – experienced instructors who have been training subsequent generations of aviation students for years” – we also read in the entry.
“Air shows are not just a spectacle. This is a testimony of dedication, passion and responsibility of aviators, who spend thousands of hours in the air, improving their skills and strictly observing security procedures. Each show flight is carefully planned, approved and supervised. Pilots are assigned so -called Safety observers – experienced colleagues who watch over the course of acrobatics, monitor the space and conditions around, providing an additional layer of security, “also report representatives of the Polish Army.
“It is worth remembering that such shows are also an important element of training – for both pilots and entire crews involved in their preparation and security. It is an opportunity to improve procedures, teamwork and coordinate activities in conditions similar to operational. At the same time, they are a way to present the ability of our air forces – a testimony of professionalism and modernity. It is also the moment when young people can see their future in aviation and feel the inspiration to choose this unique path ” – emphasizes the Polish army.
Currently, the F-16 aircraft accident is working on the State Aviation Aviation Accident Investigation Commission, cooperating with the Prosecutor's Office and the Military Gendarmerie.
