Another Congress proposal refers to the renaming of Dulles Airport after Trump, which would give the DC region a second airport after a Republican. In 1998, the name of Washington National Airport was changed to “Ronald Reagan” by a bipartisan legislation, signed by President Bill Clinton.
According to CNN, a long and coordinated campaign may be needed to appoint an airport after a person. Reagan was still alive at that time, but he was suffering from Alzheimer and was no longer 10 years old.
