Subsidies for zero -emission trucks now available


NFEPWW indicates that the project supported by the Modernization Fund is a key part of the heavy transport transformation strategy in Poland. Subsidies will cover the difference in the price between traditional internal combustion trucks and modern zero -emission vehicles. “In the case of leasing, it is about support at the initial fee specified by the leasing contract,” the fund explained.

Maximum 15 percent budget
Support is provided for vans and trucks categories N2 and N3, which are powered by electricity, hydrogen or other technologies not causing greenhouse gas. Entrepreneurs may submit more than one application, but the amount of support for a single enterprise and related companies may not exceed a maximum of 15 percent. the entire program budget.
The amount of support was varied depending on the size of the enterprise. Large companies can count on co -financing covering a maximum of 30 percent. eligible costs, average at 50 %, and micro- and small enterprises- as much as 60 percent. In the case of leasing, analogous rules were determined for the initial fee. Maximum financial support is from 400 thousand. PLN to 750 thousand PLN, which depends on the vehicle category and the size of the company.
Paweł Augustyn, deputy president of the NFEPW, drew attention to the importance of the program in the context of changes in the Polish transport sector. At the end of March, the Fund also launched a program supporting the development of infrastructure for charging heavy vehicles. – “These initiatives drive the transformation together, improve air quality and strengthen the competitiveness of our enterprises,” he emphasized.
The source of financing of the program is the modernization fund, which powers the funds from the sale of 4.5 percent. CO2 emissions under the EU-EXE system. The fund served by the European Investment Bank allocates its resources to modernization activities in Poland and 12 other EU member states. There is a significant part of the funds from the fund on Poland-it is estimated that in 2021-30 the country can receive up to PLN 60 billion. The program implemented in Poland supports the NFEPW.
