A fire broke out at a locomotive that towed 36 wagons loaded with crude oil, on Friday, in the area of Valea Călugărească, but was liquidated in the shortest time, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations announced.
ISU Prahova said that four special vehicles for water and foam were mobilized, a powder extinguisher (nitrogen), a SMURD ambulance and a SAJ Prahova ambulance.
“At the place of the intervention it was found that the fire was manifested at the level of a diesel locomotive that towed 36 wagons loaded with crude oil, stopped under high voltage lines. It was operated by powder, and the fire was liquidated in the shortest time.
According to the quoted source, the probable cause of the fire will be established after the intervention action is completed.
