New recipes for foreigners from Sunday. See what will change

According to the new regulations, every person who wants to study in Poland, will have to prove knowledge of the lecture language at at least B2. Universities will also have to inform the consulate if the student does not study. In addition, the college will have to check the qualifications of a foreign candidate for studies, and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) confirm that he passed the matura exam.
“We are open to all around the world who want to study at Polish universities, but we introduce requirements that will prevent this from using it by the organizers of illegal immigration” – emphasized the head of government.
It is also introduced admission limit of foreigners to study to eliminate fictitious students and limited access to applying for foreigners a temporary residence and work permit. It is about owners of visas and stay documents issued by other Member State or Polish visas issued, e.g. for transit, participation in cultural and sporting events, studies, etc.

KPRM also reminded that from Sunday, the rules of access to the labor market will also change, and the institutions responsible for this market will gain more influence on the process of issuing permits – The staroste will be able to determine the list of professions and types of work in which work permits will not be issued to foreigners. Voivodship labor offices will also be obliged to analyze the offered remuneration on local labor markets once every 6 months. Penalties for illegal entrusting work will also increase.
In the Prime Minister's opinion, “new regulations should curb the abuse of the right to work in Poland by foreigners.”
