“The people from Praid can no longer wait,” wrote on Facebook Nicușor Dan, after being at Salina Praid, who risks getting to be flooded.

“Today I was in Praid, along with a deeply affected community. Thousands of people suffer from a disaster that could be prevented,” wrote Nicușor Dan.

According to the president, in no more than three weeks the company Salrom, which has Salina subordinated, is to build a “bypass” to stop the penetration of sweet water into the mine and to start the controlled water evacuation.

“The people in Praid can no longer wait. We will support the granting of compensation for those who have lost their income and we will propose concrete measures to relaunch local tourism. We will not abandon this community. And we will not close the eyes in the face of negligence.
