In the evening speech, Montenegro announced that his grouping, which was won by 91 seats in the 230-member assembly of the Republic, a uniform parliament, does not intend to enter into agreement with other parties to form a majority office.

Assessing the Montenegro declaration for the Polish Press Agency, prof. Armando Goudes, a political scientist from the University of New in Lisbon, said that the most likely scenario for the new office will be the informal cooperation of AD with the Central Policy Socialist Party (PS), which took third place in the election, winning 58 seats.

– When voting a vote of trust for the new government, socialists will probably abstain, thus enabling the approval of the Montenegro office by the Chamber – said prof. Guedes.

The prime minister announces the composition of its government

He reminded that shortly after winning the election on May 18, Montenegro announced that he was not planning to enter the alliance with the right-wing-populist party Chega Andre Ventura. This group won 60 seats in the election, the largest number of places in the chamber in the 6-year history of this anti-system party.

The new MONTENEGRO government will be the second office managed by this politician. On Thursday evening he announced that many members of the previous office will include in the new government.

The election of May 18 was the second early voting to the parliament from March 10, 2024, when AD won. However, in connection with the suspicions regarding the entanglement of the head of the government in corruption, Montenegro appeared on March 11, 2025 to the Chamber of Trust, which he did not receive, which resulted in the Parliament's solution and earlier elections.
