Elon Musk, who promised that he managed the Doge team, i.e. the Department of Government Efficiency, would save $ 2 trillion from the US budget, now claims that he saved $ 175 billion. According to independent analyzes, this is an amount of $ 16 billion – Axios said.

During the election campaign, Musk promised that Doge would contribute to cutting expenses by $ 2 tribute (almost a third of the entire annual budget), would reduce unnecessary regulations and eliminate unnecessary jobs.
Savings made by Musk's team will probably be leveled by the draft budget act being completed in the Congressforced by Donald Trump – comments the portal.
On Tuesday, Musk, who will officially stop working for the White House on Friday, thanked Trump for “a chance to reduce the unnecessary expenses” of the government.
“A word is the key here +chance +. He had a chance to do something significant! But he did nothing, except that (…) he took away thousands of people, without a visible reason,” said Bloomberg.
The project, which the US president called “a great, beautiful act”, provides for a reduction in taxes and an increase in certain expenses, which will make economists in 10 years increase the budget deficit of the United States by $ 3 trillion – reports Axios.
At the end of November last year, Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswama, who was initially to manage Doge, announced in the text in “Wall Street Journal” that the Doge team intends to propose mass exemptions of federal officials in search of budget savings.
He calculated the “New York Times” that cutting off all the optional expenditure of the government unrelated to defense would not generate even half of such savings. (PAP)
