The American Central Bank confirmed in a published announcement that the meeting took place.
“At the invitation of President, President Powell met with the president in the White House today to discuss economic development, including height, employment and inflation” – we read in the Fed statement.
“President Powell did not discuss his expectations as to monetary policy, except for emphasizing that the politics path will depend only on the incoming economic information and what it means for prospects” – we read.

In the FED announcement, he also informs that Jerom Powell and his colleagues in the FED are still involved in determining monetary policy on the basis of “cautious, objective and apolitical analysis“.
