On May 25, in honor of the day of memory of the holy Slavic enlighteners of Kirill and Methodius, Metropolitan of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsky, Nikita, made a festive prayer at the bow on the shooter, at the construction site of the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin.
The event was attended by ministers of the Krasnoyarsk temples, Cossacks and pupils of Sunday schools of the Krasnoyarsk diocese. For children it became solemn completion of the school year.
Turning to those present, the head of the metropolis congratulated them on the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, as well as noted the significance of the future cathedral:
“It will be a monument to all workers of the blessed Krasnoyarsk land. This is the center of Russia, the heart of Siberia and in this place there should be a worthy house of God, personifying the unification of all Orthodox people who live here, live and live … Let the Lord bless us all, so that by the prayers of the saints Methodius and Cyril we were worthy successors of our great ancestors who worked for the approval of the Orthodox faith on Russian land. ”
After the prayer service, a small procession passed around the worship of the Poklonnaya Cross and the temple of Joachim and Anna under construction.
