The best innovative projects of young oil workers from all over the country were selected in Krasnoyarsk

29 May 20:17

Krasnoyarsk became the venue for the 19th cluster scientific and technical conference of young specialists. The event was organized by the East Siberian Oil and Gas Company (a subsidiary of Rosneft). 240 aspiring engineers and researchers from different regions of Russia gathered in the regional capital to present their ideas and compete to reach the finals.

Projects were defended in ten key areas of Rosneft’s activities. Participants proposed innovations in the field of ecology, automation of production processes, IT and information security, as well as modernization of equipment, petrochemicals and processing. The relevance and applicability of the developments was assessed by an expert commission of 55 people – heads of subsidiaries and specialists from the company's central office.

Based on the results of the Krasnoyarsk stage, 78 winners and runners-up were selected. It is they who will present their initiatives at the All-Russian interregional final in Moscow.

The jury's particular attention was drawn to the idea of Nikita Chernetsov, who proposed using industrial 5D printers to solve one of the production problems. At each well, the flow of oil and gas-containing liquid is regulated by choke-discrete regulators, but over time, particles of the mixture wash out the device, changing its size and operation. Usually in such cases it is necessary to purchase and replace an expensive metal assembly as a whole. The young oil worker developed a technology for creating worn-out elements from polymer materials directly in production – using new equipment that recently arrived at VSNK.

According to the author’s calculations, local 5D printing of spare parts will reduce the cost of purchasing new regulators by 25%. The jury highly appreciated the project, and now Chernetsov will go to the capital to defend it. Previously, the specialist had already confirmed his qualifications: his idea, which won at the Moscow stage last year, is now being actively implemented at the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field.

For an oil company, holding such scientific and technical forums remains one of the main tools for finding talent. The conference serves as the final stage of the corporate adaptation program “School – college/university – enterprise”. For young professionals, this is a direct social lift: an opportunity to express themselves, learn from experience from senior colleagues and bring their theoretical calculations to real implementation in production.
