A startup that was founded by a famous researcher and who builds humanoid robots for the industry has obtained $ 100 million funding. The founders of the company include Ray Kurzweil, famous futurologist and specialist in AI technologies, writes Reuters.

The company – Beyond Imagination – has developed a humanoid robot called Beyond Bot, but also associated models, models that they intend to implement in industrial environments such as various types, pharmaceutical factories and chip production units, said Oliver Carmack, co -founder of Gauuntlet Ventures, the investment fund that came with this money.

The robot is supported by a system called Aura, which works like a universal operating system, integrating people, robots and equipment existing industrials – in “smart” production processes.

The startup has tested its robots, and now they are looking for large companies to implement them, investors being convinced that these robots can radically change the way industrial production is done.

Ray Kurzweil is famous for popularizing the concept of “singularity”, predicting two decades that, by 2045, artificial intelligence will overcome human intelligence and will enter an accelerated self-improvement stage.
