“We can do without the USA”. Radosław Sikorski in the Swedish newspaper

The interview appeared on the first page of the frontal diary in Sweden.
“Europe pursued Russia before the United States became a power on the European continent. We had it before the American state was created” Sikorski reminded.
When asked if Europe would be able to support Ukraine, if the US completely withdraw from the help of this country fighting Russia, the minister noticed the state of the Russian army. “I want to say that we all thought that Putin has a first -class army. He probably thought so. Now it lasts the fourth year of the war, and he is still fighting in Donbas” – noted the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He added that in some photos Putin's soldiers “look like a group of random guys from the movie Mad Max”. “Ukraine won in the sea (Black Sea), not even having a navy” – emphasized Sikorski.
The “Svenska Dagbladet” newspaper explains to Swedish readers that Poland, taught by historical experiences of the occupation by Russia, Germany and Austria, naturally invested in a land army. The Polish state has increased the pace of dosing after the Russian full -size invasion of a neighbor, Ukraine.
Sikorski, when asked about the Baltic Sea, announced that Poland would now focus more on the safety of this basin. “We take over (in June) the presidency in the Council of the Baltic Sea countries and I will approach this matter very seriously,” he declared.
The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded, referring to the problem of the so -called Russian shadow fleet that anarchy has anarchy in the Baltic. “On land, a driving license, insurance and a valid technical inspection are required, just as in the air, but at sea it seems that you can behave freely” – said Sikorski.
He announced efforts to change the regulations regarding maritime navigation, some of which come from the last century, and some even from the 19th century. “When the circumstances change, international law must also change,” he noted.
