Disturbances at leading European airports due to cyber attack

The attack paralyzed automatic systems, which means that the procedures related to passenger check -in and letting them on the deck could only be carried out manually.
“This is very reflected in the flight schedule and unfortunately will cause delays and cancellations (connections)” – emphasized the airport operator on the statement on his website.
The Berlin-Brandenburg airport announced that passenger check-up systems were attacked on Friday evening, which means longer queues for travelers and delays. The airport itself was not the target of cyber attack – it was emphasized.
Cyberratak also confirmed the airport in Brussels.
Heathrow, the largest airport in Great Britain, warned passengers against possible delays due to technical problems with the check -in system and boarding.
A spokesman for the London Airport stated that “an external company, providing check -in systems and boarding systems for several airline at many airports, has a technical problem that can cause delays for passengers departing.” It was reported that this company is working on a “quick solution to the problem”.
For now, it is not clear what other European airports the cyber attack has covered – emphasized the DPA agency.
Passengers whose flights were scheduled for Saturday were recommended that they confirm before going to the airport in the airlines whether their flight would take place.
