The Association of Gas Dogs requires from the NKREKU and the Ministry of Energy fair decisions for fines for the quality of gas

Gasborators note that in April – May 2025 a number of working meetings were held with the participation of representatives of the NKREKU, the Ministry of Energy and the gas production sector. During the discussions, the parties focused on the problems that arose due to large-scale damage to the infrastructure due to Russian shelling in the first quarter of this year.

“The Association expresses gratitude to the NKREKU and the Ministry of Energy for organizing meetings, as well as for discussing the possible ways to resolve these issues, which have become one of the most serious challenges for the sector from the beginning of the war,” the appeal says.

At the request of the state bodies of the company, members of the Association provided official letters with detailed information about the ordered and used capacities, volumes of non -lawsuit, as well as the amount of relevant payments.

“In accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Association and the current legislation of Ukraine, the Association does not have the right to collect or use information that is commercial and refers to the confidential. The Association wants to emphasize the extreme importance of these issues for the gas -manufacturer,” they add in circulation.

The initiators of the appeal noted the need to resolve to gas producing companies whose objects suffered from attacks, adjust the already ordered capacities within the current gas year, and proposed to take into account unused but paid capacities in future periods of the order.

The Association asked for the possibility of exempting companies from paying fines for supplying gas at the entrance points to the GTS, where the infrastructure was damaged due to shelling, which entailed an increase in the supply of non-preservation gas.
