Putin and Trump want a “normalization” of Russian-American relationships, Kremlin announces

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have expressed support for a “normalization” of their countries, Kremlin announced on Monday, following the conversation of over two hours of the two leaders, who also discussed Iran, AFP reports.
“The two presidents expressed themselves in favor of continuing the normalization of bilateral relations,” said Iuri Usakov, Putin's diplomatic counselor, during a telephone press conference.
During the conversation on Monday, the two leaders “agreed to continue the dialogue on all the problems discussed”, including Iran and his nuclear file, said Iuri Usakov.
Putin “positively evaluated the negotiation process between Washington and Tehran on the Iranian nuclear program launched by the mediation of the Oman,” said the quoted source. This exchange “was substantial and very useful,” he concluded.
