Five trucks entered the Zone on Monday with humanitarian aid – the Israeli army informed. This is the first transports since Israel in early March suspended the delivery. It is a drop in a sea of needs – commented the deputy secretary of the UN General for Humanitarian for Humanitarian Tom Fletcher.

The first transport includes Flour, medical materials and food for children – said the army. Fletcher said the army allowed nine trucks to enter.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to abolish the blockade at night, admitting that he did it under international pressure and at the request of the army to prevent hunger. He emphasized that the deliveries will be “minimal” for the time being, until the new aid distribution system is being implemented.
Israel has introduced a blockade, including deliveries, among others food, fuel and medicines, accusing Hamas of profit from stealing help. The authorities in Jerusalem argued that during the nearly two -month truce from January, the Gazaus entered enough transports to meet the needs of its inhabitants for several months.
International organizations alerted that the suspension of help, after which Israel resumed the war, deepened the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, including hunger. According to the UN, the situation is the worst since the outbreak of war in autumn 2023. Most of the aid groups limited or suspended their activities.
Ultimately, Israel wants to create a new aid distribution system based on private companies and a foundation supported by the USA. The plan is to prevent Hamas from taking over transport. Aid organizations already present in the Gaza Strip, including the UN, criticize the whole system, claiming that it gives the organization of help in the hands of one of the parties to the conflict, forces another resettlement of Palestinians, and so will not be able to meet their needs.
Many countries in the world have previously appealed for resumption.
Israel must immediately enable “full resumption of help” and allow the UN and other independent work organizations – representatives of 25 countries and the European Union wrote on Monday, including bosses of diplomacy, including France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada and Japan. The UN fears regarding the new Israeli help system were supported in the letter.
For several days, Israel has intensified attacks on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that their goal is to destroy Hamas and release hostages. Negotiations about a truce are constantly taking place.
At least 52 people died on Monday in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip – civil defense of this territory told.
