Masud Pezeszkian in the UN: We don't want an atomic weapon

“We don't want an atomic weapon,” Pezezkian declared, speaking in New York during the general debate at the 80th UN General Assembly session.

He added that his state “would never bend against aggressors” and criticized the June aggression of Israel and the USA on Iran. The authorities in Jerusalem emphasized that the 12 days intensive raids were aimed at Iranian nuclear objects, because Tehran accelerated work on nuclear weapons. American aviation also joined the attacks.

Pezeszkian called these activities “treason of diplomacy”, reminding that Israel attacked when Iran negotiated a new nuclear agreement with the USA. Israeli aggression undermined efforts in favor of stability and peace in the region – noted the Iranian leader.
