The Ukraine Military Intelligence Service (GUR) transmitted on Sunday, May 18, that Russia is preparing to carry out a test with an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Kiev authorities claim that the purpose of this action is to exert psychological pressure on Ukraine and its Western partners, according to Reuters and EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

“With the objective of pressuring and demonstratively intimidate both Ukraine and EU Member States, the Russian aggressor state intends to carry out a” training and struggle “launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile RS-24 Yars on May 19,” He warned Gur on the Telegram platform.

According to the same source, this three-step intercontinental ballistic rocket has a range of about 10,000 kilometers and will be launched from a polygon located in the Russian Sverdlovsk region, in the Ural Mountains area.

Russia has not yet commented on this announcement. In fact, as a rule, Moscow does not previously transmit information about such tests, but usually issues statements after making them.
