The electoral law defines the conditions under which a ballot is declared void and provides some clear instructions on the proper application of the stamp, so that the vote is considered.
Where the voting stamp is put correctly
The law stipulates that the voting stamp is applied in such a way that the voting option is obvious.
Thus, the vote is valid:
– the “voted” stamp is applied inside a single quadrilateral;
– the “voted” stamp exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral, without reaching another quadrilateral, and the voter's option is obvious;
– The “voted” stamp has been applied several times in the same quadrilateral;
– the “voted” stamp has been applied several times, both in a quadrilateral and outside any other quadrilateral;
– the “voted” stamp is applied inside a quadrilateral, but various mentions of the voter are registered on the voting bulletin (the vote is considered valid regardless of the mentions registered on the ballot).
What mistakes can you cancel your vote
A series of actions can lead to voting, such as:
– the control stamp of the electoral bureau of the polling station was not applied, until it was handed to the voter;
– the stamp with the “voted” mention was not applied;
– the “voted” stamp is applied to several quadrilaterals or outside them, including one of the impressions of a stamp has been cut holograph or there are holographs only regarding the validity of one of them;
– the “voted” stamp exceeds the limits of the quadrilateral and reaches another quadrilateral.
For the second round of the presidential elections 2025 George Simion (40.96%), the candidate registered by the gold, and Nicușor Dan (20.99%), an independent candidate.
In the country the presidential elections are held on Sunday between 7:00 and 21:00, in almost 19,000 polling stations. At the ballot box, a total of 18 million Romanian citizens with voting rights are expected.
