A well-known Romanian media website has just changed its name after 22 years. “I don't think it will have a huge impact on our readers”

One of the most important publications with European topics in Romania, Euractiv, ro has a new name since the beginning of March, writes PaginadeMedia.

According to the cited source, the new name is Espress.ro. The name change takes place after, according to the site's representatives, the European network Euractiv gave up the entire franchise it had in several European countries.

At the same time, the practically new publication Express.ro became part of the Focus Media network, which includes Italy and former partners from Eastern Europe.

“I don't think that this change will have a very big impact on readers and subscribers. Keeping the same editorial line, I don't think there will be major changes. We have the same editorial direction, we are the same team,” Cătălina Mihai told PaginadeMedia, editor-in-chief of Euractiv.ro / Espress.ro.
