The election campaign for the second round of the presidential elections to enter a straight line, because on Friday, May 16, is the last day when promotional materials can be distributed for the two candidates, George Simion and Nicuşor Dan, according to the election calendar.

We remind you that this began on May 9, after the validation by the Constitutional Court of the first round, and ends on Saturday, May 17, at 7:00.

At the same time, on Friday is the first day when the polling stations for Romanians who want to exercise this right were opened. At 6:30 in Romania, 3,594 people had already voted in the diaspora.

In the second round of the presidential elections, which takes place on Sunday, May 18, will face George Simion (the alliance candidate for the union of Romanians), who in the first round obtained 3,862,761 votes (40.96%), and Nicuşor Dan (independent candidate), with 1,979,767 votes (20.99%) in the first tour.
