The independent candidate for the presidential elections Nicuşor Dan said on Thursday evening, during the electoral debate organized by TVR, that he will never ask the Bucharest Parliament to annexed the Crimea Peninsula by Russia.

Asked what will decide if the United States of America will recognize the annexation of the Crimea Peninsula by the Russian Federation and if Washington will ask its allies to do the same, Nicuşor Dan said that the decision is Parliament, specifying that he will not make such a request.

“The decision is of the Parliament. I will never ask the Parliament to recognize the Crimea Peninsula as part of Russia. Why? It would be the first time after 80 years of international treaties and is not to anyone, neither of Romania, to give rise to the resolution of the territorial borders,” the independent candidate replied.

“That would mean an invitation to war, exactly what we do not want,” said Nicuşor Dan.

In 2014, the loyal forces of the Ukrainian President Prous Viktor Yanukovici killed dozens of demonstrators in Kiev, and he finally fled to Russia, in the middle of a popular revolt, remembers News.ro. Moscow responded by sending undercover troops to conquer the Crimea Peninsula, which the Russian Federation quickly annexed.
