In Boguchan, the former head of the investigation department of the police was convicted of bribe and forgery. This was told in the regional prosecutor's office.
In 2021, the woman investigated the criminal case of illegal cutting of forests in the Takechesky district forestry for 3 million rubles. She handed over 103 trunks to the accused illegally obtained trees so that he would sell them and give her part of the money. For responsible storage, the man also received a car previously seized from him to continue the logging.
He paid the investigator 300 thousand rubles. And she, in turn, asked the court to put an arrest on the vehicle without a ban on ordering them. To hide the traces of the crime, the woman instructed subordinates to reduce the number of tree seized in the protocol and indicate 22 instead of 103, and also deleted the photos from the case.
A criminal case was opened against her under paragraph “c” of part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe) and part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority). The investigator did not admit the guilt and explained in court that she did not take a bribe and worked out all the investigative actions as expected, and the evidence was falsified.
But despite this, the court sentenced her to 9 years in a colony of general regime with a fine of 3 million rubles, with the deprivation of the right to work in law enforcement for 3 years and deprivation of a special rank of Major of Justice.
