The lowest taxes in Poland. The Podkarpackie commune tempts transport companies

The local government in Strzyżów County decided to take a bold step. As reported by rzeszow-news.pl, from January 1, 2026, entrepreneurs registering buses, trucks or trailers in Niebylec will pay the lowest possible taxes in Poland.
The website emphasizes that this step is part of a long-term strategy that is intended to attract new investors and stimulate the economic development of the region.

Mayor Eryk Trojanowski argues that currently the revenues from the means of transport tax in the commune are negligible because few companies register their vehicles here. Therefore, reducing the rates to a minimum should not threaten the budget, but it may bring it economies of scale and, in the long run, increase income from other sources.
The Commune Council supported this plan, counting on the gradual attraction of transport and logistics companies that, over time, will create new jobs and stimulate private investments.

Location is the way to success? Via Carpatia is here to help
Low taxes are not everything. Niebylec also boasts a favorable transport location. National road No. 19 runs through the commune, leading to the border crossing in Barwinek on the Polish-Slovak border. This is an important route for international transport on the north-south axis.
However, the S-19 expressway under construction, which is part of the international Via Carpatia corridor, is of even greater importance. According to the plans, the entire section from Niebylec to Rzeszów is to be ready by 2028.

Direct access to the expressway, proximity to the A4 motorway and the Rzeszów Zachód junction may contribute to the commune's popularity among carriers – indicates the website rzeszow-news.pl.
Tax preferences and the commune's offer
Niebylec is not limited only to low vehicle taxes. The commune also offers attractive tax rates on buildings and land related to business activities. Additionally, residential buildings are completely exempt from real estate tax – a solution rarely found on a national scale, which may be particularly interesting for entrepreneurs planning to settle permanently.
The local government also declares its readiness to cooperate with companies by renting commercial premises belonging to the commune. Details about the offer can be found on the commune's website in the tab dedicated to transport taxes.
