Five men died on Monday morning in an accident in the area of Sânpaul in Cluj County, reports News.ro. Road traffic on DN 1F was temporarily stopped in both directions, traffic being diverted to bypass routes.
All the five men who were trapped in the heavily damaged car were extracted by the intervention forces that arrived at the scene, but unfortunately they were declared dead, ISU Cluj announced.
According to the local media, it is one of the worst accidents in Cluj county.
The accident took place around 08:00, on DN1F, in the area of Sânpaul, in which two trucks and a car were involved, notes Ziar de Cluj.
“Following the impact, road traffic is blocked in both directions. According to the first information, six people were injured”, the Cluj County Police Inspectorate initially announced.
The traffic was diverted and according to the INFOTRAFFIC center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, traffic was resumed after 9.30 am.
The circumstances of the accident are currently unknown.
