The presence of the presidential candidate led Romania TV to the second place between all the stations in the country, after Pro TV, which is rare for a niche station.
663,000 people looked on average, between 8:00 and 22:00, on Wednesday, in which Romania TV announced an electoral debate. Of the candidates came only Nicușor Dan, although the television station said that George Simion had confirmed his presence. Simion also acknowledged that he had accepted the debate, but motivated the absence by traveling to Italy.
Romania TV was, between 20:00 and 20:30 not only the leader of the news stations, but also on the 2nd place of all the televisions in Romania, with a market share of 10%. In the TV measurement system, the market share indicates the proportion of people who watch a certain post, among those who have the TVs started, that is, they watch the TVs in real time.
The maximum of the audience was 768,000 people, at 20:06. During the two -hour show with Nicușor Dan, RTV has remained an audience leader in the news channels, except for the interval, when Realitatea Plus became a leader on the news niche.
The RTV audience with Nicușor Dan surpassed the one from Antena 3, the day before, where George Simion did not come. Antena 3 had an average of 521,000 people on Tuesday, compared to 663,000 on Wednesdays at RTV.
