An employee of the maintenance service told the police that he had closed the water in a cell, thus facilitating the escape of the 10 prisoners, of which 4 were later caught, writes Wall Street Journal.
Sterling Williams, 33, told the police that he had closed the water from a cell after being threatened, allowing the evaders to snatch a metal toilet from the wall and escape.

“If the detainees had removed the sink from the cell without disconnecting the sanitary installation, the escape plan would not have been successful because the cell would have been flooded, drawing attention to them,” the guard of the guard shows.
Prosecutor General of Louisiana, Liz Murrill, said Williams should have reported prisoners instead of stopping the water.
According to Murrill, Williams was charged with 10 charges plus an offense of abuse in service, all being considered serious offenses.
The police say the prisoners escaped from the Center of Justice in Orleans on Friday morning, snatching the metal toilet and sink on the wall, using an unknown tool to cut the steel bars, then slipped through the hole behind them.
“Easy, Lol” wrote above the space in the wall, according to the photographs published by the officials.
The detainees then used blankets to climb over a barbed wire fence and ran away a freeway, the police said. Three of the prisoners were caught on Friday night. Another one was captured in the city on Monday. Over 200 officers work to find others. The Federal Investigation Bureau helps their search, but officials said the detainees could have left the city.
The escape from the prison took place on Friday morning, after 1:00, the local time, and the detainees were discovered during the routine counts at 8:30.
The head of the penitentiary declared last week that people within his department could have helped escape. Three employees were suspended, and an internal investigation is ongoing.
The six missing prisoners, on their escape, are men and are between 20 and 42 years old. They were accused of various crimes, including attempted murder and bodily injury.
