The windmill act should be adopted by the Sejm until autumn and signed, regardless of who will be the president – said Deputy Minister of the Climate Miłosz Motyk on Wednesday. He added that the project regarding the improvement of connecting conditions to the network should soon find the Council of Ministers.

Motyk assessed during the Impact Congress in Poznań that the thesis that the draft of the windmill act was quietly processed “is not true”. He said that this project is one hundred percent transparent, transparent and well written.

“I have a bordered feeling that we will accept this law in the Sejm for calendar autumn and it will be signed by the president. (…) regardless of who will be president (…), because it is not a political law, only pragmatic,” said the deputy minister of climate and the environment.

He pointed out that work is also underway to change the procedure related to, for example, the felling of trees, so that the Regional Directorates of Environmental Protection or offices issued decisions on felling faster. A bill is also proceeded regarding the improvement of connection conditions to the power network and issues related to electromobility.

“I think that the coming weeks will be weeks in which these projects – after arrangements – can be accepted at the Council of Ministers. I give two weeks for it” – said Motyk.

When asked if Poland could be moved during the introduction of the ETS2 ETS2 fee, he said that he was convinced that it would be possible. “We are talking about it. There is, even (…) understanding about this” – he added.

On March 6, a draft act on investments in the field of wind farms, the so -called windmill law was adopted by the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers.

In its main part, it abolishes the 10h principle introduced in 2016, i.e. a ban on the construction of windmills at a distance of less than 10 times their height, along with the rotor, from residential buildings. The current wording of the provisions is allowed under certain conditions to reduce this distance to 700 m. The proposed provisions are to determine a minimum distance of 500 m.
