Sport teacher from Târgovişte, arrested for rape. He is accused of having sex with a 16 -year -old student

A sports teacher, a trainer of the volleyball team from a school in Târgovişte, was preventively arrested for rape, on the charge that he had sex with a 16 -year -old student, informs the Dâmboviţa County Police Inspectorate on Wednesday.
The 36 -year -old man was initially detained for 24 hours, Monday, May 12, for the crime of rape committed on a minor.
According to police investigations, between August 2024 – April 2025, the suspect, as a sports teacher and coach of the volleyball team belonging to a school in Târgovişte, “would have maintained sexual relations with a 16 -year minor, formerly a student within the same school and part of the team”.
“During the day yesterday, May 13, the man was presented to the magistrates, on his behalf being issued a preventive arrest warrant for 30 days,” says IPJ Dâmboviţa, in a statement quoted by Agerpres.
